Thousands of hectares of privately-owned, immaculate woods, valleys, lakes and rivers translate into the most tranquil, peaceful and stress-reducing location guests could possibly find in this sought-after corner of Italy. Tenuta di Murlo is a magical surprise.

What makes Tenuta di Murlo so compelling is the complete quiet. Everywhere you look, you see miles and miles of hills and valleys – all immaculately-groomed with that impeccable rustic Italian styling. Even the trees, bushes and passing pheasants seem a little more chic, well-put-together and utterly enticing.

This is a land of rural naturalness. It extends as far as the eye can see – all you hear are the twittering birds, buzzing bees and rustling hedgerows. The silence is as strong as the fragrant air. When we visited in the spring, the lavender was in full bloom, the irises in their final throes of elegance and the heady rosemary bushes were exuding their richest aromas.

Five luxury farmhouses scattered throughout the estate make the ideal place to call home. They have either been totally restored and renovated or are recently built but designed to mimic the stately homes in days of yore. All serve up lashings of rural loveliness complete with warped-beamed ceilings, worn and weathered floor tiles, rustic chic interiors, private swimming pools and lots of other goodies that make them irresistible for those seeking out country peace and quiet.

Rest, relax and enjoy all your “at home” conveniences or spend days out on the road sightseeing. Options range from taking long walks outside your front door to poolside BBQs to day trips and touring the estate and nearby attractions. Despite all the options on your doorstep – these homes are definitely a rural retreat that appeals to those who enjoy the countryside.

All homes offer:
Private heated pools, indoor/outdoor dining and sitting areas, pool chaises, pool umbrellas, daily maid service, on-site concierge, charcoal BBQs, washing machines and laundry facilities, excellent hi-speed Wi-Fi, satellite TVs in multiple languages, indoor/outdoor dining spaces, mosquito screens on the windows, in-home dining options and home delivery service from the local restaurant.
