Casa la Siesta Hotel
"Comfortable Countryside Chic, close to Vejer de la Frontera." - Reviewed by Lisa
MIGUEL PERFECT PICK “The memory of a little tomato ice cream and anchovy appetizer has never left me. Great attention to details in this comfortable home.”
The mellow tones of warm stucco and the clean mix of jasmine, rosemary and wildflowers fill you with a sense of well-being as soon as you walk through the front door. The welcome continues as you enter the beautifully-restored country cortijo – where the owner hands you a glass of full-flavoured, local wine. The tone is set.
This lovely home is a labour of love for the British-born, well-respected interior designer/owner. No detail in comfort or aesthetics has been forgotten. Hospitality is first-class with a wonderful team of super-friendly staff to cater to your every whim.
While away your day poolside with nothing but the frantic buzzing of the busy bumblebees or the lowing of the Retinta cows in the adjacent pastures to keep you company. This area is renowned for its pleasant breezes, so lounging away the hours in the beautiful gardens is relaxing and refreshing – especially as the staff is on-hand to supply a constant flow of drinks, sweets and house-made, savoury snacks.
If halcyon days by the pool are not your thing, then take a quick trip up to nearby Vejer for a taste of a busy, bustling Andalucian hill town. Casa la Siesta is well-located for lazy days on the beach, sightseeing and golf.
