Its cultured owners like to call this villa ‘the resort’ — Bio Art & Wine Resort, to be precise – and for good reason. Together, four impeccably-restored buildings gather like a medieval hamlet offering a 5-star experience reminiscent of a boutique resort or luxury retreat for up to 18 guests (sofa beds available upon request for additional guests).
With 7,500sqm (more than 80,000sqft) of exterior spaces, the villa is also an ideal choice for special events such as weddings, retreats of all kinds and parties. It has the potential to host receptions big or small with a maximum capacity for 480 people. Event planning and coordination services are readily available.
Surrounded by 15 hectares of vines on a 30-hectare estate, you are destined for a fine luxury experience under the Tuscan sun – with a little optional organic agritourism thrown in for good measure.
Other highlights of this villa include its historic significance and the layout that makes it perfect for large groups, especially for multiple families traveling together. The renovated villa you see today was once a medieval watchtower. When the lofty tower was dismantled at the beginning of the Renaissance, the stones were put to good use creating smaller annexes in addition to the main villa.
Finally, guests can choose to take part in tailored wine and olive oil tasting activities on site as well as private tours of the winery. At the time of inspection, an artist in residence was installing a sculpture outside the winery and you can see his original label designs featured on some bottles of wine.
