Scope and Object

Tripwix operates as an intermediary platform, connecting users with property owners and managers for bookings. Tripwix is not liable for issues related to the property or the contract between the guest and the owner. Guests must review any specific conditions provided before confirming their booking.

Services Provided

Tripwix manages bookings and payments on behalf of property owners but does not provide property-related services beyond these functions. Additional services (like cleaning or concierge) are available through third parties, not Tripwix.

 

Registration & Personal Data

All personal data is processed according to GDPR and CCPA compliance. Users have the right to access, modify, or delete their data and may contact privacy@Tripwix.com to exercise these rights. Cookies are used for personalization, and user consent is required for data collection where applicable.

 

Booking Procedure

Minimum Stay: 3 nights.

Payment Structure: 50% upfront payment required, with the remaining amount due 60 days prior to arrival.

Security Deposit: Refundable, with deductions possible for damages.

Bookings are not final until Tripwix confirms availability, and all payments and the signed contract are submitted on time.

 

Cancellation Policy

60 Days or More: Full refund.

Less Than 60 Days: No refund for the rental fee, only the security deposit.

High Season Bookings: No rental refunds, even for early cancellations.

Late Arrivals or No-Shows: No refund, and the booking may be canceled.

Additional cancellation terms may apply for promotional bookings.

 

Payment Security & Compliance

Payments are processed securely, following PCI-DSS standards. Guests must ensure timely payments; otherwise, Tripwix reserves the right to cancel bookings without refund of partial payments.

 

Security Deposit Management

The deposit covers damages and is refundable within 30 days after the stay, minus any applicable deductions. Tripwix will provide a detailed report if deductions are made.

 

Payments and Instant Bookings

Payment Process: By confirming an instant booking, the user authorizes Tripwix to charge the full amount (or specified deposit) via the selected payment method.

Cancellations and Refunds: Cancellations will be subject to the applicable cancellation policy provided at the time of booking. Refunds, if eligible, will be processed within 30 business days.

Payment Security: All transactions are processed through secure payment gateways. Tripwix does not store full credit card details.

Taxes and Fees: Prices may include or exclude taxes, fees, or other applicable charges, which will be clearly stated at the time of booking.

 

Liability Disclaimer

Tripwix is not responsible for:

Property discrepancies, accidents, or incidents during stays.

Issues with property availability or quality, which should be resolved directly with the owner or manager.

Guests are encouraged to obtain appropriate travel insurance.

 

Intellectual Property

All content on the website (photos, text, software, etc.) is protected by copyright. Unauthorized use or reproduction of Tripwix material is prohibited.

 

Amendments to Terms

Tripwix may update these terms. Users will be notified of changes and must accept them to proceed with new bookings.

 

Other Provisions

Contract Supremacy: In case of discrepancies between these terms and the contract provided in the confirmation email, the latter shall prevail.

Language Interpretation: The original version of these terms is in Portuguese. In case of inconsistencies between translations, the Portuguese version takes precedence.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction: These terms are governed by Portuguese law, with disputes settled exclusively in Portuguese courts.

Severability: If any provision is deemed invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the fullest legal extent.

User Copy: The user should keep a copy of these terms on their device or in print.
