The Douro Valley region is the perfect destination for wine lovers. Due to its unique location, distinctive climate and particular characteristics, the region produces an amazing, unique, fortified wine known as Porto.

Even if you are not a wine connoisseur, when visiting the Douro you should definitely visit a few different properties to learn more about winemaking. Relax and take some time to lose yourself wandering around the vineyards, visit a few wine cellars, talk to winemakers and, of course, taste the local wines.

In September, you can join in the harvest-time fun at some properties. However, we can assure you that – although the fun is guaranteed – it will not be an easy task.
