Three great friends and self-proclaimed lovers of the good life who value quality in detail, not quantity. Extravagance done well - simple done better.
Miguel has lived in 4 continents and is currently based between Lisbon and the west coast of Mexico, having worked in the 5-star hotel hospitality industry at various points around the globe.
Miguel loves all things equestrian (polo, dressage, rejoneo, cross country, eventing, etc), is a fool for wine and good regional foods, authentic restaurants, fun bars and luxury travel. He’s also a cigar aficionado and a history buff
British born Lisa spent many years living in Spain, USA, and Mexico. Her career has been spent sourcing beautiful interiors for demanding clients whilst running her own interior design company.
Lisa’s interests lie in interior design, culture immersion, cooking, Old World wines, flea market shopping and fashion trends. With a strong desire to roam she has visited over 55 countries worldwide and never gets tired of finding the new quintessential boutique experience.
Meshing the worlds of luxury hospitality with oenology, Francisco enjoys managing partner roles in both Tripwix and LV vineyards, Portugal. An international rugby player in his youth, he now coaches and is still playing in Lisbon.
True to his roots, Francisco has a passion for Iberian Peninsula country living and pursuits – he likes to mix sophisticated big city breaks with weekend getaways in the countryside. He must have great food and, naturally, great wines
The beginning …
After a couple of trips renting online luxury rental homes, we soon realized that not all is as it appears. Total lack of standardization can leave the luxury traveller in a precarious place with no guarantees and immense disappointment.
In 2017 (and still to this day), we noticed a minefield of agencies with unchecked standards, little to no inspection and inexperienced on-the-ground service. Therefore, we made it a personal goal to represent a luxury portfolio we can put our names behind.
The middle …
So, with a team of trained curators (design or hotel housekeeping background), we set out to find interesting properties that offered more than just a vacation. Selecting some beloved destinations, we are fully committed to continuing to expand an excellent portfolio of beautiful homes that have been fully inspected and approved, rejecting homes as necessary.
With the support and love of a fully dedicated, multicultural team, working from all around the globe, we are making that portfolio available online to clients directly and also working closely with our B2B partners.
Villa specialists match our homes to the client’s needs and then a fabulous group of local Tripwix Ambassadors that we like to think of as our ‘’friends of friends” take care of all the on-the-ground needs for each guest.
