Nice to meet you!

“My name is Manuel and I want to welcome you to my golden world of Douro. I am actually working as Head Winemaker at Quinta do Crasto. I have my Winemaker Degree in UTAD, Douro University; a Wine Master’s degree in Bordeaux, France; and working experience in Penfolds, Australia, Chateaux Montelena and Napa Valley in the United States.”

I’d like to introduce you to my wife, Teresa

“Ola, I am Teresa. I run my on business Wonder.it, a unique brand of women’s clothes. I studied in Florence, Italy, and have my degree in Painting Conservation. From 2003 to 2012, I worked in a specialized conservation atelier and in the Douro Museum.”

Manuel: “I am passionate about wine, horses, hunting and golf.”

Teresa: “Wines, art, fashion, history, reading, tennis…did i mention wines?”

Our region is special to us because it offers

“Vineyard sightseeing, boat trips along the Douro River, winery visits, winetastings, exploring traditional gastronomy, foot-treading a lagar during harvest.”

We like to enjoy our beautiful destination with

“Family and friends and we like introducing new friends to our special place.”

To us, the best way to recharge batteries is

Manuel: “A walk through the spectacular Douro vineyards, followed by a winery visit, winetasting and a relaxing afternoon in quiet infinity pool facing the Douro River.”

Teresa: “Sightseeing of local monuments and traditional architecture, boat trips along the Douro River, exploring local gastronomic traditions. We have so many incredible cheeses, specialty meats, game, and incredible desserts. This is one of the most relaxing places in the world and we are lucky enough to live here!”

TRIPWIX guests will experience

“The feeling of the true essence of the most unique wine region in the world and have the opportunity of tasting rare and unique Port wines.”

Good Souvenirs

“A few bottles of the amazing and unique wines and Ports that are produced in the Douro Valley are wonderful momentos to take home and impress friends with…or, of course, to keep and celebrate the memories of an amazing Douro experience.”
