TripWix was excited to attend the ILTM North America travel show, held in Mayakoba, Mexico, from September 24-27th, 2017. The show, organized by the International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM), is a much-coveted invitation-only event where the very best travel agents and advisors from across the USA, Canada and Mexico meet the world’s very best luxury travel experiences. TripWix was both proud and excited to be invited to such a prestigious event.
The ILTM North America Travel Show is the leading event for professionals and companies working within the luxury travel industry in the Americas region. Exhibiting at the 6th edition of the show brought TripWix co-founders Lisa and Miguel Carvalho face-to-face with the very best buyers from across the USA, Canada and Mexico.
Luxury networking
Lisa and Miguel set off to Mayakoba, located in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula region, for four extremely intense days of twenty one-on-one meetings per day with some extraordinarily powerful travel agents. Apart from losing their voices and shaking many hands, they were both delighted with the results. “We could not believe the caliber of agents we were meeting,” said Lisa. “It was a huge milestone for TripWix to get its name in front of so many high-rolling professionals.”

- Top new destinations for 2018 – Portugal, Portugal, Portugal! Lisbon, Douro and Algarve followed by Seville and the Caribbean coast of Mexico.
Agents top request – Rate parity. Agents do not want to offer their clients homes that the clients can then find elsewhere on the net with lower rates. This makes the agents look bad, TripWix look bad and results in losses for all.
