DESTINATIONS/ITINERARIES

 NORTH SIDE OF THE BAY:

  • Sayulita – This hip little town has a sixties vibe. Known for its constant surf wave, art galleries, and gorgeous sunsets, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a colorful environment and wonderful restaurants.
  • Litibú Bay – Hidden between hills and mountains is Litibú Bay, where you’ll discover crystal-clear waters, reefs and spectacular mountain views – everything you need to spend the day doing water activities.
  • Punta Mita – The Punta de Mita peninsula is home to a private luxury community which includes 2 Jack Nicklaus golf courses, the St. Regis Punta Mita Resort and the Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita.
  • El Anclote – Apart from being a great place to learn how to surf, this beach located on the Punta de Mita peninsula is also an excellent choice when looking for a nice dinner.
  • Playa Paraiso – This beautiful secluded beach offers small reefs and calm waters for swimming and paddleboarding
  • Palito Verde – Located between La Cruz de Huanacaxtle and Punta Mita, this secluded beach is ideal for enjoying a quiet snorkel and paddleboard session.

SOUTH SIDE OF THE BAY:

  • Los Arcos – Los Arcos de Mismaloya is one of the most emblematic places in Puerto Vallarta. It consists of a group of gigantic rocks in Banderas Bay – some of which form huge natural arches where you can swim, snorkel and scuba dive.
  • Mismaloya – Mismaloya was the setting for the 1964 film, “The Night of the Iguana”, the film that transformed Puerto Vallarta from a sleepy fishing village to one of the top tourist hot spots. Mismaloya offers clear waters and great snorkeling spots.
  • Boca de Tomatlan – This is the last beach you can drive to on the southern part of the bay. From here, you can catch a water taxi to take you to different beaches around the bay. It offers a number of Mexican restaurants and great mountain views.
  • Playa el Caballo – Incredible beach with amazing rock formations on the shore. It’s where the famous restaurant and bar “Casitas Maraikas” is located.
  • Las Animas – This fishing village is best known for the small palapas where the fishermen cook their catch of the day. It’s the ideal place to enjoy a unique meal oceanside.
  • Quimixto – Be amazed by the awesome surf waves! The village is so small that there are almost no local surfers – so you pretty much have the place to yourself. From here, you can also horseback ride to a waterfall in the middle of the jungle!
  • Yelapa – Yelapa is a beautiful little bay within the greater Banderas Bay. It is famous for having a beach without waves where you can swim in the calm waters. Visit the beautiful town, eat in a local restaurant, swim in the river and walk to the waterfall.
  • Las Iglesias – Las Iglesias is a pinnacle rock surrounded by marine life that offers great diving for beginners and advanced divers alike.
  • Tabo y Tabito – If you’re looking to get away from the crowds, then check out these two huge beaches. Treat yourself to a quiet day on a deserted beach with no one in sight – just you and your family enjoying the privacy and solitude of these pristine beaches.
  • Corrales – The last destination on the southern part of bay, Corrales is a calm bay with crystal-clear waters that are perfect for snorkeling, diving and spearfishing. This bay is so calm that sleeping on board the yacht feels like being inside a marina. You can sample the local restaurants.
